Creative Courage – A supportive space for women
This monthly gathering is a dynamic and empowering space for women who find inspiration and connection through creativity. Designed to nurture self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of community, Creative Courage blends educational content, group discussions, and experiential arts-based activities to support personal growth and emotional well-being.
Each session provides:
- Educational Content to explore themes like self-expression, stress management, and navigating challenges with creativity and courage.
- Group Discussions to foster connection, share experiences, and build mutual support.
- Approachable Arts Activities led by facilitators (and occasional guest artists/co-facilitators), using creative exercises such as journaling, movement, visual arts, or storytelling to deepen self-awareness and promote healing.
Therapeutic Goals:
- Cultivate self-awareness by exploring creative expression.
- Build resilience through the arts, learning tools to manage stress and embrace change.
- Strengthen community connections by fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Encourage emotional regulation and self-compassion through creative practices.
- Enhance confidence in self-expression and decision-making by embracing one’s unique creative identity.
Week 1: Laughter to Relieve Anxiety –The first of our Creative Courage workshops uses lighthearted, playful exercises to help you tap into spontaneity and creative thinking. Through laughter and the art of improv, we’ll boost confidence, reduce stress, and embrace the unexpected. A great way to open our minds to a variety of artistic approaches coming up in this monthly series.
