Laughing All The Way Improv for Joy & Stress Relief During The Holidays

November 22, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Make the most of this holiday season by embracing joy, connection, and creativity!

Improv (short for “improvisational theatre”) is the art of making something out of nothing; creating fun, spontaneous moments with others by responding to ideas. Through interactive and low-pressure improv activities, you’ll be encouraged to tap into your creativity, spontaneity, and humor to relieve stress, promote connection, and experience the benefits of laughter. No improv or performance experience is needed—just a willingness to play and have fun!

This workshop is great for:

  • Anyone looking to reduce holiday stress, boost their mood, and experience more joy during the season.
  • Those who want to improve their social confidence, think on their feet, and practice setting boundaries.
  • People interested in using creativity and play as a way to support their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Ages 18 and up, and all gender identities are welcome!

What you’ll experience: In this special holiday-themed workshop, we will use comedic storytelling and playful improv activities to address common holiday challenges such as:

  • Managing stress and overwhelm from busy schedules and family obligations.
  • Setting healthy boundaries while navigating difficult conversations or situations.
  • Finding moments of joy and self-care despite holiday pressures.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Participate in simple and engaging improv exercises that promote mindfulness, flexibility, and emotional expression.
  • Explore ways to use humor and creativity to shift perspectives on holiday stressors.
  • Practice staying grounded, present, and resilient through quick-thinking games and scenarios.
