April is a season of growth, renewal, and forward momentum …
and that spirit is clearly reflected in the work we continue to do at the Tampa Bay Women’s Business Centre.
This past month brought meaningful opportunities to connect, collaborate, and elevate the voices of women in business. We were honored to participate in the Power Women’s Expo panel discussion on the rise of social entrepreneurship. The conversation reinforced a powerful message: success today is not built in isolation. Strong relationships, intentional collaboration, and community engagement are essential to growing both your business and your network.
We also had the privilege of attending the International Women’s Day Brunch in downtown Tampa, as well as the Women of Influence Lunch both inspiring gatherings that highlighted the strength, resilience, and impact of women leaders across our region.
One of our proudest milestones this month was celebrating the graduation of 18 participants from our Startup Academy. Their dedication and entrepreneurial spirit are a testament to what is possible when women are equipped with the right tools, resources, and support. In addition, we were honored to deliver a keynote address for a local organization, further expanding our reach and continuing to advocate for women in business.
As we move into April, our momentum continues. A new cohort of our Startup Academy will begin mid-month, and we remain committed to fostering growth through education, mentorship, and connection.
Collaboration remains at the heart of everything we do. Whether you are just starting your business or looking to scale as an entrepreneur, the Tampa Bay Women’s Business Centre is here to support you. We encourage you to engage, connect, and explore how we can help you achieve your goals.
Together, we are building a stronger, more connected business community.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Kimberly Rankin

The Power Women Expo held at the Hotel Alba, Tampa on March 20th was an energizing and inspiring event that brought together exceptional women leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers from across the region. Our very own Director, Dr. Kimberly Rankin, participated as a panel speaker, contributing to impactful conversations on leadership, growth, and community impact alongside an outstanding group of women. Board Member Dr. Meaza Morrison was also on the same panel, further strengthening engagement and support throughout the event. In addition, the team connected with attendees at their booth, sharing valuable resources and supporting women at every stage of their business journey. Events like this highlight the power of collaboration when women come together, they don’t just lead, they elevate and empower one another.

Celebrating the Power of Women Across Tampa Bay
|
|
The Tampa Bay Women’s Business Centre and the The Centre for Women was honored to attend the 2026 Women of Influence Luncheon, hosted by the Tampa Bay Chamber in partnership with Tampa General Hospital.
This inspiring event, with keynote speaker Judy Smith, brought together leaders, changemakers, and innovators who continue to shape and strengthen our community. It was a powerful reminder of the impact women are making across Tampa Bay—and the importance of continuing to support, elevate, and invest in their success.
We are proud to stand alongside these organizations in championing women in business and contributing to what makes Tampa Bay shine.
