A Message as We Celebrate 50 Years
For 50 years, The Centre for Women has stood beside women as they navigate life’s transitions, overcome challenges, and build brighter futures. From employment services and entrepreneurship training to mental wellness counseling and safe housing repairs, our work has always been grounded in one simple idea: when women succeed, families and communities thrive.
Today’s nonprofit environment presents new challenges. Funding uncertainties, shifting priorities, and increased demand for services require us to think creatively and act boldly. As we begin our 50th Anniversary year, we are not standing still — we are pivoting, innovating, and expanding partnerships to ensure women continue to have access to the tools they need to succeed.
Signature events like our 34th Annual Gourmet Feastival and the upcoming Golden Gala Anniversary Celebration are more than celebrations — they are vital opportunities to sustain and grow the programs that change lives every day.
Thank you for being part of our community of supporters, partners, and champions. Together, we are ensuring the next 50 years of impact.
With gratitude,
Ann

In November, we will commemorate five decades of service with our Golden Gala Anniversary Celebration — a lively, elegant evening blending music, fashion, art, and philanthropy.
The Golden Gala (G50) is more than an event—it is a movement where fashion, philanthropy, and purpose converge to celebrate legacy while investing in the next generation of women leaders.
The Golden Gala will honor the legacy of those who have shaped our mission and celebrate the supporters who will help carry our work forward.
Leadership sponsorship opportunities will soon be available for those who wish to be recognized as champions of women’s advancement in our community.
We look forward to sharing more details soon about this unforgettable milestone event.

The League of Extraordinary Women is a powerful network of influential and accomplished women who are combining their efforts and resources to help women succeed.
When Gloria Steinem turned 80, someone asked her if she was ready to pass the torch. She said she wasn’t going to pass the torch, she was going to use hers to light others; if we all have torches, there’s a lot more light.
Your commitment of $1,000 each year for three years will help fund programs at the Centre for Women that strengthen and grow women-owned businesses, elevate women and girls in leadership roles, and create new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
