For too many, the cost of repairs is out of reach. That’s where SHIP steps in.
OUR SOLUTION
The Senior Home Improvement Program (SHIP) provides critical home repairs at no cost to low-income seniors, allowing them to:

- Avoid preventable injuries and costly institutional care.
From replacing roofs to fixing plumbing to installing accessibility modifications, SHIP restores more than homes—it restores hope, health, and peace of mind.
OUR SERVICES
Since 1981, SHIP (Senior Home Improvement Program) has provided home repair and rehabilitation services for low-income, elderly homeowners in Tampa and Hillsborough County. The Centre for Women is a State Certified Construction Business and has a licensed contractor on staff full-time.
