A Message from the Executive Director
In a world that continues to change at a dizzying pace, The Centre for Women remains a steady, trusted anchor for those who need us most. Every day, our doors open to women and families seeking guidance, empowerment, and healing—and every day, we rise to meet that need.
We are proud to say that The Centre is not just faring well this year—we are thriving.
We are riding the waves of success following our women’s leadership celebration honoring Brooke Shields and celebrating the first anniversary of The Kathy Castor Counseling & Wellness Centre. Thanks to the unwavering support of our community and the tireless commitment of our team, we have expanded our services, opened new doors to care, and reached deeper into underserved neighborhoods. Demand for our programs continues to grow, and we are responding with innovation, compassion, and determination.
As we approach our 50th year of serving the community, The Centre for Women is just getting started.
From mental wellness counseling to workforce development, entrepreneurial training, leadership programming and support for seniors, our impact is real and far-reaching. But the work is far from over. We are meeting today’s needs while preparing for tomorrow’s challenges.
Like many nonprofits, the uncertainty around traditional government grant funding has sparked some anxiety. We are working diligently to create additional avenues of support. With you by our side, we will continue to rise to meet the challenges ahead —because every woman deserves access to opportunity, dignity, and support.
Cheers,
Ann
