About this event
Many people struggle with mental health issues which are both preventable and treatable. Mental wellness has become an important theme as we now recognize the role it plays in our day- to- day lives. We each possess the ability to practice daily skills that will enhance our quality of life.
During May’s mental health month, join us to discuss what traits and tools you can use to foster a healthy frame of mind.
Susan McIntyre is a licensed clinical social worker who has been in the human services field for over thirty years. With a passion to support those in need, Susan is the current director of Counseling and Wellness at a local not- for- profit organization, The Centre for Women, Inc.
Additionally, she is a supervisor for clinical internships and a professor in the Counseling and Human Services program at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida. Susan and her staff provide counseling services to a wide variety of vulnerable and diverse populations.
Suzie Schneer is the program manager for Tampa Bay Works for Women at The Helen Gordon Davis Center for Women in Tampa, FL. Tampa Bay Works for Women is the premier employment services program at the Centre, which includes personalized job coaching, employability skills training and services, the Women Building Futures program, and the Centering on Girls initiative. She holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
