DESCRIPTION:Part Three of 6-week Series \nWe are offering a six-week\, in-person women’s empowerment group titled “Trending Topics: For Today’s Women”\, with the third topic being ‘Build Your Personal Self-Care Toolkit’. \nA self-care toolkit is not sold in stores. It can be viewed as a work of art\, and you are the artist! Learn about the various ways in which you may already be taking care of yourself\, and other ways that you might not have considered. In this session\, you may hear things about self-care that will surprise you\, and the stories of other women that have experienced doubt\, hesitation\, and resistance to taking care of someone that really does matter: You! \nYou are invited to attend any or all of the sessions and feel free to bring your lunch. There is no charge for the meetings\, and beverages will be provided. \nAbout the Speaker: \nElodia is a mental health counselor at the Centre For Women where she works with individuals and couples across the age span. Her specific areas of interest are in neuroplasticity and non-pharmacological interventions to help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Elodia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology\, and will complete a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida in May. Elodia’s academic focus and masters thesis focused on coping skills courses for university and college students. She currently is involved in research pertaining to innovative design interventions to benefit people seeking mental health care.
