SUMMARY:Brand Basics: Navigating Personal vs. Business Branding
DESCRIPTION:Just getting started with your business and wondering how your personal brand plays into it all? This workshop is designed just for you! \nEver feel like your business is Beyoncé and your personal brand is Sasha Fierce? Both are fabulous\, but they bring different vibes to the stage. In this workshop\, we’ll explore the difference between the two and how one impacts the other in ways that are easy to understand (and even easier to apply). \nFirst up\, we’ll tackle that all-important Value Statement (aka your elevator pitch). No stress—I’ve got a fill-in-the-blank formula that’s basically Mad Libs for newbie entrepreneurs. By the end\, you’ll have a pitch that’s as sharp and sassy as you are. \nNext\, we’ll channel our inner Veronica Mars to figure out your audience. Knowing your target audience is great\, but identifying your ideal audience? It’s like finding your business BFFs. We’ll use the Audience Targeting Tool—think of it as a matchmaker for your brand and the people who are just waiting to meet it. \nThis workshop is led by Robyn Sayles of Launching Your Success\, who has a knack for turning branding newbies into confident brand bosses. Bring your questions\, your quirks\, and your favorite caffeine fix. This is going to be a no-BS\, all-fun exploration of branding\, where we’ll turn complex concepts into aha moments faster than you can say “brand goals.” \n*Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. The presentation will include video narratives from Gen Z influencers sharing their own experiences with mental health challenges and coping strategies. Come and learn about ways to cope with stress\, anxiety\, and other mental health challenges that many teens face. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with others who may be going through similar experiences. \nAbout Guest Speaker: Kathryn Averyheart is a Chicago native but has spent the past ten years living here in Tampa with her two children\, 10 year old Jayne and 23 year old Aaron. They have a beagle\, Gryffindor\, adopted during Covid. Kathryn has been volunteering with AFSP off and on since 2006. She worked on the Chicago walk in a fundraising and day of support capacity for four or five years\, and has been supporting here in Tampa for the last 18 months. She recently was honored to accept a position as secretary on the board.  Kathryn believes talking about mental health and shining a light on suicide prevention is key to stopping suicide – and helping survivors. She’s grateful to be a small part of that giant task. In addition to AFSP Kathryn is a member of Tampa Bay Tech’s membership committee\, CDW’s Tampa area charitable group\, and recently became a volunteer with her daughter \, at the Humane society. In her day job she is a manager at CDW where she has the incredible privilege of leading some of the AI practice solution architects for customer experience. \nMore Information: https://afsp.org/

SUMMARY:Your Credit Score and Your Business Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In-person Lunch & Learn\nEstablishing and maintaining strong and vibrant communities doesn’t happen on its own. Hancock Whitney Bank is excited to help you learn and understand your credit score and how your credit can have a big impact on your financial life and business. Credit scores and reports provide a snapshot of the financial habits that financial institutions and others use to get a sense of your creditworthiness. Understanding how credit scores and reports work may help you achieve your financial goals. Additionally\, we’ll help you learn how to understand your business’s finances. A business’s greatest tools in money management are the three main financial statements. Your financial statements tell a story of how your business performed in the past\, how it’s performing now\, and even how it may perform in the future\, based on projections. With this information\, you may make more informed business decisions and prove to lenders and investors that your business is expected to succeed. Hancock Whitney Bank is eager to assist you on your path to continued success! \nThe event takes place at the Centre for Women\, 305 South Hyde Park Ave.\, Tampa\, FL 33606. Lunch will be provided.
