Our Impact

Since 2013, the TBWBC has served over 5,556 clients. We helped over 200 women start a new business, created over 245 new jobs and helped over 143 female entrepreneurs access financial capital to expand their business ventures.

Locations

Our offices are located in Tampa and St. Petersburg, FL which enables us to provide services to entrepreneurs in Hillsborough, Hernando, Pinellas, Polk, Pasco and Manatee counties.

Meet Our Staff

Dr. Kerry Szymanski

Dr. Kerry Szymanski

Director of The Women's Business Centre

Dr. Kerry Szymanski is Program Director for the WBC. Her impressive skill set includes working knowledge of entrepreneurship, marketing, strategy, management, leadership, social media marketing, and professional development. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and an MBA. She is an Adjunct Business Professor for American Business & Technology University. While she takes her work seriously, in her spare time, she enjoys doing stand-up comedy.

CARES Project Manager

Brad Stevenson, CARES Project Manager, oversees all aspects of the supplemental grant. Brad was Finance Manager at the Centre for Women before taking on this new role.

Charisse Medina

Charisse Medina

Program Coordinator

Charisse Medina is the new Program Coordinator at Women’s Business Centre in the Tampa office. She received a Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. As a military spouse for 21 years, she served as a mentor in several military spouses groups. She speaks English and Spanish and her passion for helping other people lead her to this new professional role.

Business Coach

Natasha owns and operates White & Black Consulting, a business and political consulting firm located in the Tampa Bay Area. Natasha also contracts with the Tampa Bay Women’s Business Centre to offer business consulting services to the respective clients. White & Black Consulting has worked with businesses of all sizes, at all levels to accomplish the desires of the business. Currently, White & Black Consulting has clients along the East Coast of the United States and in Central America.

Business Coach

As founder and executive coach of Votta Coaching & Consulting, Kristin Votta announced her firm’s expansion and rebranding in 2019 to The Votta Group: a management consulting and leadership development firm, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, with an international reach. Kristin has been coaching leadership programs and facilitating seminars for over fifteen years. She is very proud to work with Tampa Bay’s Women’s Business Centre as a CARES Business Coach.

Julia White, MBA, is a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and licensed Financial Advisor. She has over 10 years of accounting and financial planning experience. She has dedicated her career to helping individuals and small to medium-sized businesses become financially literate in the areas of tax, accounting, and financial planning.

Maria Campos

Maria Campos

Business Coach

Maria E. Campos is the WBC CARES Coach. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Hospitality Management with a minor in Arts from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. With her entrepreneurship and hospitality expertise, she provides counseling to clients as they navigate the impact of the COVID-19 virus.
